Lead Roadway Engineer/Office Leader - 

Winter Park, FL

Job Summary:
Patel, Greene & Associates (PGA) is looking to hire a leader. Our Winter Park office already has all the supporting elements it needs to succeed: talented roadway and drainage staff – including two awesome young PMs, a healthy backlog of work, as well as an established reputation and lasting relationships with FDOT Turnpike, District Five and District Two.  We need someone to take the pieces already in place and go – building PGA’s presence in the greater Metro Orlando area and beyond. Our office, located just a few blocks from Downtown Winter Park, currently houses seven staff – we can grow comfortably to 30+ in that same location. Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Maintain responsible charge over multiple roadway projects
  • Lead marketing efforts for the roadway discipline (preparation of Letter of Response and other Technical Proposals)
  • Direct roadway group resources to produce a quality product
  • Provide quality control reviews when necessary
  • Ability to lead internal training programs
  • Assist in the strategy planning and growth of the PGA roadway group
  • Requires no technical supervision
  • Ability to direct and mentor younger staff
  • Complete tasks and projects within established supervisor’s expectations
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize and assign work and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities in all aspects while continuing to produce at a high level

Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or appropriate equivalent
  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Must have between 10 and 20 years of progressively more complex engineering experience
  • Proficient with MicroStation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of clients
  • Excellent attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with FDOT projects and/or procedures
  • Knowledge of  FDOT requirements
