Structures Engineer/Structures Project Manager


JOB TITLE: Senior Structures Engineer/Structures Project Manager
LOCATION:  Winter Park, FL
EDUCATION: Bachelors
MAJORS: Civil Engineering
STATUS: Full-time
COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience

Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of advanced structure design principles and maintain responsible charge over multiple structure projects and pursuits on a wide variety of projects for DOT, counties, municipalities and other transportation agencies and clients.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Work closely with other structure engineers, interns and designers and provide required project oversight, mentoring, and management of structure project budget and schedule
  • Structural concepts, software, manuals and criteria related to transportation structures
  • Technical writing
  • Developing structural concepts and presentations for marketing pursuits * Use your interpersonal skills to coordinate with other disciplines and proactively resolve potential conflicts and concerns
  • Use your problem-solving skills to propose innovative design solutions and approaches
  • Grow your professional network by attending meetings and participating in interviews, presentations with various clients
  • Assist in the strategy planning for the future growth of the PGA Structures Group particularly in the Winter Park Office

Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Florida Professional Engineer’s License
  • Proficient with Microstation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree with focus on structural engineering
  • 10-15 year Professional Engineer (PE) with structural design experience
  • Experience with FDOT projects in FDOT District 5 and Florida Turnpike Enterprise
