Purpose & Need

Successful landscape architects are masters of creating sustainable and functional spaces that enhance beauty and safety. By integrating vegetation and hardscape materials, landscape architects can transform our transportation networks into aesthetically pleasing and purposeful corridors that promote connectivity. This Senior Landscape Architect will not only represent PGA directly to clients as a reliable subject matter expert and project manager but will also foster and maintain long-term client relationships that will support PGA’s strategic growth goals. The ideal candidate should be motivated to pursue and lead exciting projects, energized to mentor developing staff, and ready to further advance their career with a firm eager to see them succeed. 
 

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as Project Manager and maintain responsible charge over multiple projects
  • Serve as technical lead for complex tasks and projects
  • Lead marketing and business development efforts (pursuit strategy, approach development, and proposal preparation) to support the Landscape Architecture Group
  • Assist in the strategic planning and growth of the PGA Landscape Architecture Group
  • Direct, mentor, and support Landscape Architecture Group resources in completing tasks and producing quality work product
  • Provide quality control reviews on work products
  • Lead internal training programs
  • Requires no technical supervision
  • Complete tasks and projects within established supervisor’s expectations
 

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor of Landscape Architecture or related field
  • Registered Landscape Architect (RLA)
  • 10+ years of post-registration experience
  • International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Arborist Certification (Desired)
  • LEED Accreditation (Desired)

  • Capable of leading teams, building relationships, serving clients, and pursuing projects
  • Proficient in technical writing and delivering technical presentations on complex project-related topics
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact with a variety of clients
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent ability to effectively prioritize and assign work to meet schedules and deadlines
  • Excellent ability to accomplish multiple tasks efficiently at the direction of PGA’s Leadership Team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to use AutoCAD or MicroStation/ORD software, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat), and Microsoft office Suite
  • FDOT project experience (desired)
