Jim Harriott joins PGA as Roadway Group Manager in Sarasota

PGA continues to expand our offerings in the Sarasota area, reinforcing our commitment to Southwest Florida and its growing communities.  

Jim Harriott brings more than 30 years of transportation engineering and leadership experience, with a career defined by delivering complex infrastructure solutions across Florida. His background spans both public and private sectors, having worked for both Alachua and Sarasota Counties, giving him a well-rounded perspective on advancing projects from concept through construction.  

Jim states, “I am excited to join PGA because of the team’s strong commitment to people and to the communities we serve.  PGA has earned a reputation for delivering quality work with passion and professionalism.  This success is supported by a culture grounded in integrity and service to others.  Through my research, I found that PGA’s culture aligns with my own personal values and professional leadership approach.” 

Jim’s expertise includes transportation planning and design, traffic operations, and the development of multimodal systems that enhance livability. He has led the implementation of advanced GIS-driven decision-making applications and introduced innovative approaches to project delivery and performance management. His experience also extends to funding strategy development, helping communities successfully deliver critical infrastructure while maximizing available resources.

Jim has successfully led business development efforts, built strong client relationships, and expanded transportation programs across multiple regions. His experience working at the intersection of engineering, policy, and community engagement allows him to deliver solutions that are both practical and forward-thinking. Jim is committed to advancing projects that improve connectivity, support growth, and enhance quality of life throughout the Sarasota region.
