University of Tampa Multipurpose Building

PGA has teamed with the University of Tampa to design the Multipurpose building on campus. The design for this project includes a 460,000 sq ft 10-story building, complete with a residence hall to house 600 students, 40 faculty offices, five classrooms, study lounge, covered bicycle storage facility, and  a 440-vehicle parking structure. Once the Multipurpose Building opens, it will proudly stand as the largest building on the university’s campus. The campus’s road network had to be modified around the building and included the relocation of numerous utilities. Further, the design had to integrate a 4-ft grade change while providing an aesthetically pleasing, walkable environment for students, faculty, and guests. The project is also targeted for LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
